Sorry this is late, I just came from church.
Today we did some more questions on comparing percentages to fractions and stuff like that using the grids and our calculators.
We marked the 10 questions we did yesterday. If you weren't at school here they are. (" means the same as above. I'm just to lazy to keep typing "what is")
1) What is 60% of 70?
2) " " 32% of 50?
3) " " 40% of 123?
4) " " 3% of 560?
5) " " 19% of 144?
6) " " 75% of 450?
7) " " 54% of 80?
8) " " 63% of 110?
9) " " 15% of 900?
10) " " 91% of 12?
Here are the answers I got. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Part 1
1) 70/100= 0.7*60=42
Part 2
1)60/100=42/70
Part 3
1)60 over 100=42 over 70
Part 1
2)50/100=0.5*32=16
Part 2
2)32/100=16/50
Part 3
2)32 over 100=16 over 50
Part 1
3)123/100=1.23*40=49.2
Part 2
3)40/100=49.2/123
Part 3
3) 32 over 100=49.2 over 123
Part 1
4)560/100=5.6*3=16.8
Part 2
4)3/100=16.8/560
Part 3
4)3 over 100= 16.8 over 560
Part 1
5)144/100=1.44*19=27.36
Part 2
5)19/100=27.36/144
Part 3
5)19 over 100=27.36 over 144
Part 1
6)450/100=4.5*75=337.5
Part 2
6)75/100=337.5/450
Part 3
6)75 over 100=377.5 over 450
Part 1
7)80/100=0.8*54=43.2
Part 2
7)54/100=43.2/80
Part 3
7)63 over 100=43.2 over 80
Part 1
8) 110/100*1.1*63=69.3
Part 2
8)63/100=69.3/110
Part 3
8)63 over 100= 69.3 over 100
Part 1
9) 900/100=9*15=135
Part 2
9)15/100=135/900
Part 3
9)15 over 100=135 over 900
Finally the last 3 I got!
Part 1
10)12/100=0.12*91=10.92
Part 2
10)91/100-10.92/12
Part 3
10)91 over 100= 10.92 over 12
Now if your just sitting there either having a dumb face on and going "What?" or just copying this down I suggest you see this.
After that, we had to find out what was 10% of 70 and 150.
After we had to shade in the following percents on our grid papers with our whole number as 100 (in numerical order):
0.25% , 1%, 9%, 78% and 134%
This is what I put:
And that's all we did today.
