A percent is a number out of 100.
eg. 55/100 = 55%

3/5 (numerator divided by denominator is the fraction)
3 / 5 = 0.6

3. 25 + 10 = 35
80 % 4 = 20
80 % 10 = 8
25 = 20
8 = 10
20 + 8 = 28

question 5. the principal announced that 50% of the children in ms. stanzi's class met their reading goal for the month and that 55% of the children in ms lowrey's class met their reading goal for the month. ws stanzi said that a greater number of her students met their reading goal. could Ms Stanzi be correct? why or why not.

ms. stanzi could be right if she has more children in her class.
ms. stanzi 36 kids in her class and ms. lowrey 30 kids in her class. ms. stanzi's class has 18 kids that met their reading goal. (36 ÷ 2=18)
(30÷100=0.3, 0.3x55=16.5)
ms. stanzi is not correct.

Hey Jerica you would get a better mark if you put the labels. (growing post, percents) And the Title should be Jerica's Percentage Growing Post. Also you forgot question 5 and 6.
